Cody The National Hot Tub Dog Dies at Age 11 – Obituary

Kodiac Charles Bear (Cody) the National Hot Tub Dog, passed away on August 8, 2019 in Navarre, FL. He was 11 years old. He passed on due to complications from liver issues.

He was born Oct. 15, 2007 and is a Pedigree AKC Siberian Husky. His father is Gary’s Red Fire Chaser and his mother is Shez-A-Dixie-Doo of Missouri. He was adopted by PoolAndSpa.com’s founder Daniel Harrison in December 2007 in Las Vegas, NV. He then moved to Navarre, FL in 2017.

He served as the National Hot Tub Dog from 2014 – 2019. He inherited the title of Hot Tub Dog from Sanji, who passed in 2014. The previous Hot Tub Dog was Sammy, who passed in 2013. He received the Hot Tub Dog title from Moose, the original Hot Tub Dog, who passed in 2002. All had been adopted by PoolAndSpa.com’s Founder Daniel Harrison over the years.

Cody was the official Mascot Dog of PoolAndSpa.com and also appeared in the February 2010 issue of “Ride” magazine, the magazine for PWC & boating enthusiasts. Cody also battled epilepsy throughout his life, however his passing was not caused by the disease.

He was at work in the PoolAndSpa.com office every day. He was loved by all that had the chance to work and play with him. He liked boating, running, marrow bones, rawhides, his Hedgehog toy and getting his bone. He is survived by his doggie friends Koa, Bugsy and Riley.

The title of National Hot Tub Dog will be taken over by his friend Koa (Nakoa Charles Bear) as soon as time allows.
