Sanji The Hot Tub Dog Dies At 10

He passed calmly, by my side, on Sunday night at my home, and was in no pain. He is survived by Cody, the new National Hot Tub Dog, and Ferrell the cat.

Originally owned by’s General Manager Tim Casey from 2004 through 2007, Sanji inherited the title of’s National Hot Tub Dog from Sammy, who passed in 2013. Sammy received the Hot Tub Dog title in 2002 from Moose, the original Hot Tub Dog, who passed in 2002. He was adopted by’s Founder Daniel Harrison in 2008.

Sanji was loved by thousands of people, especially during his time at the Las Vegas Hot Tubs store in Henderson, NV. He also appeared in many of the and PoolAndSpa.TV How-To videos.

He went on to gain national prominence through his battle with epilepsy. Sanji’s trial use of the new drug Keppra went on to help hundreds of thousands of both dogs and people, with their fight against epilepsy. He was one of the first trial dogs to be very successfully treated by the drug.

He was also very popular on the web sites Huggable Husky, Gone To The Snow Dogs and Husky Tales. He liked boating, swimming in Lake Mead, Busy Bones and especially ripping apart small stuffed dog toys.

He was at my side 99% of the time, and his sudden passing was a shock to all. He will truly be missed.

R.I.P. my dear Sanji….

Daniel Harrison
